Africa, the cradle of humanity and the new land of science and technology, wants to take off through a week called “African Science and Technology Week”.

This beautiful initiative comes from the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) of AIMS (African Institute of Mathematical Sciences). It will be held this year in more than 30 African countries. In Guinea Bissau, it will be led by Adulai Barry, local NEF Ambassador, a seasoned entrepreneur and founder of 2 startups, namely; InnovaLab (founded in 2016) and BIGTechnologies Sarl (founded in 2014).

The NEF Africa Science Week (ASW) is an annual one-week African celebration of science, technology, and innovation, illustrated by various activities aimed at various audiences of all age groups, students or scientists, government institutions and the private sector. The ASW seeks to encourage citizens to get involved in science and to bridge the gap between science, government and the private sector. This second edition will build on the success of the first edition held in 2018.
